"Soul-Gentleman" Aloe Blacc has the Master Plan
The sequel to "Shine Throw" is impressive over. Aloe Blacc transported in "Good Things" his passion for music.
The album is to make attention to the opportunity to change positively. While there are many songs in which there are problems. But all the bad things always bring something good with it. He wants to point out - no matter what happens - you should always think positive and look for solutions or see the good parts of it.
With his songs he has a great plan: he wants to change the world by other artists to lay responsibility. He also wants companies to point out that they should pay more attention to the sustainability of their products. The U.S. soul musician wants consumers aware of the concerns of other people, nature and the earth when they buy certain consumer goods. In addition, he denounces that we would think far too little, while we could make so many things.
" Most people do not care if their new sneakers come from a sweatshop in China. But that should do it because we can thereby influence the lives of others positively. It's unacceptable that we allow our needs to affect the lives of other people - just so we are fine. Therefore, the great plan, the media and society from the concept of mutual sympathy to convince in capitalism. I hope that I succeed some day. "The soul star of" jetzt.sueddeutsche.de.
He describes the album as "a report on the current situation," sings about unemployment, homelessness, unfair distribution of wealth, plundering of resources and lack of compassion. For Aloe Blacc music has the task of our life together and our society to improve. He describes himself as a "musical Robin Hood".
Aloe Blacks "I need a dollar" was also known by the series include "How to Make It in America". There was the World-Hit used as an intro. The song "Misfortune" is concerned with the risk of losing the money. In contrast, "Life So Hard" is about the growing gap between rich and poor. Aloe Blacc wants with his songs that encourage people to think about these things and talk.
Sounds like: Old-school soul sound of the 70s, Fela Kuti, Ruben Blades, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Nina Simone, Steely Da.
